Like the Shangri-La 4+ shelter, the Nest can be pitched using a single center pole (sold separately or with the Shangri-La 4+), over a paddle or extended trekking pole, or by hanging it from a tree branch above.

The waterproof Pertex® Endurance Arid Zones™ at the head and foot of the bag protect against condensation in critical areas. A trimmer mummy shape offers a closer fit with warmth efficiency and the half-length top zip provides the most efficient core temperature regulation.

The world’s first 4-season dedicated free-standing backcountry tarp, the Utopia 2+ delivers serious weather protection, unparalleled space-to-weight ratio, superb durability, and is ideal when all you need is a roof or a wind shedding tarp. Dual full-length side vents provide excellent air flow, reflective stake out loops keep you from tripping in the middle of the night and the hydrophilic thread at the seams expand when wet—sealing the seams and eliminating the need for liquid sealant. Use with or without the Utopia 2+ Floor.

Silicone-elastomere fabrics allow their fibers to stretch without separating or breaking, and this makes them stronger than conventional PU-coated (or PU/siliconized) fabrics for a far lower weight. // Silicone impregnation means that the silicone completely permeates the fibers and also makes the fabric hydrophobic, so it doesnt soak up water and gain weight. It is also less likely to wear away or degrade in UV light than PU. // 30 denier SilLite weighs just 1.76 oz/sq. yd (60 g/sq. m) and has a tear strength of 9.5 lbs (4.3 kg). It is significantly lighter and stronger (for its weight) compared to conventional tent PU-coated fabrics.
